The contestants demonstrate their thoughts and feelings on various topics in Japanese that they have learned through the Naganuma Method. Students of many varied backgrounds give much inspiration to the audience.
This year there were 12 contestants who had made it through the preliminaries – 3 from the beginner, 4 from the intermediate and 5 from the advanced class. Each of the contestants conveyed their experience and thoughts through “their own words” to the audience. The contest site was filled with a sense of togetherness as classmates cheered on and encouraged the contestants.
